“Una lunga storia d’amore” … these few words are enough to describe what unites Gino Paoli to his audience. Sunday evening as closing of the Cortona Mix Festival 2018, Piazza Signorelli hosted one of the voices that accompanied the history of Italian music from the 60s to today. Certainly the voice is no longer that of when he sang Il cielo in una stanza at Studio 1, just as the eyes are no longer those of a dreamer. But it is those eyes that enchant the audience, an audience that always thanks that bullet that did not do his job.
